Hiya zip

Greetings from sunny Hertfordshire. We're probably just a bit too exotic for you down here, so I guess you're better off cultivating relations with blues and the gang from Western Canada (there are a hell of a lot of them) - good guys all. Blues is pretty mean with a camera, too, so if it is photos you are wanting...

What part of East Yorks are you from? I lived in Hull some years ago, though I'm now fully recovered.

Cheers

Richard.

Hiya Zippy,

Yeah, I vaguely remember Seaton (I think) - just a mile or so directly inland from the coast? I had a mate who lived at Hornsea in the 70s. I used to ride up there from Hull on my BSA Goldie to see him. I was a student at the time - spent my first year at The Lawns, in Cottingham.

I remember riding back from Brid to Hull through Holderness one foggy November night. Never been so cold in all my life. Couldn't stand properly for an hour after getting off the bike. The East Yorks coast is seared into my memory for ever, or at least the fog is.

Cheers

Richard

Welcome from Porthcawl.

Wet and windy weather is what motorcycles were made for.
