Is all of this really necessary?

I have yet to try to ride in the winter here in FL, but if I don't can't I just fire the bike up and let it run a few minutes every couple of weeks?

its harder on the "internals" to do it that way. You need to at least go through all the gears. Why dont you ride in FL during the winter? seems like the best time to ride in that state lol.

I've only had my bike on the road for a few months. This will be my first winter. Not sure what it will be like on the bike.

Replace the oil and plugs in the spring

Even with fuel stabilizer, you need to run the machine to get it down to float bowl.

Start your machine every 30-45 days, let it run to operating temp.

dont forget to service your chain, if so equipted
