I wanted Ron paul too but he's kinda old don't you think? Plus the guy has no face time which means our votes will be useless.

unfortunately ron paul didn't or couldn't campaign as much so it' become that only the wealthy can run for office.

Ron Paul broke records with the amount of money he raised for campaigning. The problem was the media completely ignored him. They used telephone polls to show his popularity, which do not use cell phones, which is what the majority of his supporters only used, if they had used cell phone polls Ron Paul would have had a greater percentage of the popularity polls. And if Ron Paul weren't as big a libertarian as he was he would have gotten more face time.

Hell, he wasn't even invited to his own party's convention!

I've been a supporter for Ron Paul since nearly the beginning of his run for Presidency.

Look into a better choice, a third party choice and make a statement saying you want change, and not the bullshit change that Obama claims he'll give us. I am no longer a supporter of the Republocrats.

Well, I think it goes back a little bit to Ross Perot. Unfortunately, at the time he ran, I wasn't much aware of the political go abouts and I haven't read more. They can raise money, but as I said, their like bottle rockets. They got to get as much face time and into the light as much as they can in order to put up a solid foundation for the general public to see them. Our general public is ignorant on politicians. Our general public goes with the flow. Our general public doesn't do a whgole lot of research. In an oddly accurate way, our general public thinks political parties are like 'ninjas and harleys'


I'm not doubting a 3rd party - I am saying that a 3rd party has a long way to go to gain traction with the majority of US citizens. They have to educate folks that there are more to bikes ( that's party affiliation) than just ninjas and harleys (Dems and GOP).

That money goes quickly, that's what happened to Hillary if the media is to be believed. Again face time on the airwaves account for everything and it seems Obama is in the lead because he supposedly looks genuine... I guess some Americans are just too ignorant.

I really hope they air the South Park episode with the Douche and Turd Sandwich with the "Vote or Die" garbage.

Ron Paul received more campaign donations from military active duty larger than the rest of the republican nomination party donations combined. I thought he was a far better candidate than democratic party's Mike Gravel, but I also appreciate Dennis Kucinich's efforts to impeach Bush and Cheney. I thought Ron Paul made some very good points involving the problems caused by the federal reserve, our faulty tax code, and the false notion that terrorists have attacked us simply because they hate our values and that we live rich and free; Contrarily, they attack us because we have been over there occupying their land, trying to install our western values and culture. It was pretty absurd how the media clearly overlooked Ron Paul's campaign and placed him on the republican bench. But I think Ron Paul hosted his own convention directly before the RNC launched off in Minneapolis, and anyone can watch it on youtube if interested.

The head scratcher is that he didn't endorse either candidate. Is he playing the martyr card here?

I was watching 20/20 today and apparently some people shouldn't vote. They showed how there are a lot of new voters who don't know much about our government and can't even recognize the candidates. Good lord, these morons are going to help decide the fate of the nation.

Damn these celebrities telling everyone to vote, it's not "elitist" to have educated people voting. If people started caring about more than American Idol and not rely on soundbites maybe we would be better off.
