Re: Are there anymore Automatic Motorcycle Riders
I would guess that most people who want an automatic go the scooter route.BlackCowboyRider wrote:I have an automatic 250 Motorcycle does anyone else have an automatic motorcycle?
Ridley is the only one I know of selling a true automatic motorcycle these days. http://www.ridleymotorcycle.com/

I had a 81 CM400A Hondamatic I put 96k miles on. Really a semi auto and they came out originally as a CB750A around 1978. There was a Suzuki GS450A with same type tranny around the same time and a 1000 cc Guzzi semi auto.

The parking brake has a safety lock on it, you have to push down on a button before you can pull the lever. I used that CM400A as a only bike for several years and then kept it for a winter bike when I picked up a 85 Nighthawk 650 standard 6 speed and had no problem switching back and forth between the two.
I'm a bit tall for a CM400 and the handle bar would hit my knee at full lock so I would swing my knee out for sharp parking lot type turns. I parked that bike for two years once and when I got it restarted and made my first sharp turn my leg went out automatically without consciously thinking about it. The subconscience mind is a wonderful thing, we'd probably all be dead without it.

The bergman 650 is an Automatic...looks like a giant scooter.
I follow a new highway I haven't traveled before.

If you think it's comfy just sitting on it you should drive one. Very impressive and fast.
My Yamaha Majesty is no slouch ether.
