Yep..... a new rider. Well,,,, I've been off 2 wheelers since the 70's, so in that respect I'm new. Bought a V Star 650 and am really loving it. Feels right to me as a starter bike. Didn't want to go too big in case it just didn't work out. I've put about 500 miles on it in two weeks, without really going anywhere. I did buy a headlight modulator so that those rascals in cars might see me coming down the road. That is the only thing that bothers me. I feel comfortable with my safe driving, just don't know what those other people will do.
Bought a switchable Nation Cycle windshield the other day, so should be her in a week. I'll let you guys know how I like it. I wanted to be able to take off the windshield easily as, to my surprise, I actualy like driving in the wind. We'll see how it goes.
A friend of mine told me that LeatherUp was a good place to buy leather. Anybody else have experience with them?
