Time for a Windshield!!

So, I got my windshield: a Switchblade Chopped by National Cycle. Lowboy was too low, and 2-up would have me looking through the shield. I wish this one was about 1-2 inches higher, but I think it is okay. It definitely reduces buffeting, but holy cow, does it increase helmet noise!! Earplugs are no longer optional, they are as necessary as the helmet itself! One hour going more than 20 mph was nearly painful.

Has anyone else experienced this?? I sure wasn't expecting it. I wonder if the 2-up would have been better?

Haven't put the Spitfire on yet but I did install the National Cycle one on the GS500, the name escapes me, it's a bit bigger then the Spitfire:

I went for a ride yesterday and, yes, it's quite louder and ear plugs are recommended for highway. However, quite warmer and takes off the wind off the chest for sure!

My wife likes big shields, she has a monster Clearview on her Trophy. It's definitely much louder than my V-strom, which just uses a stock small shield, tilted back on a Madstad bracket. If owned her bike, I'd put the stock Triumph shield back on, but it's just a matter of taste - I like minimal shields.

Yes, the CB750s, OHC and DOHC sound just sick with an exhaust like that. Hell, they sound awesome stock! OHC a bit better IMO. I will have to check into the rules if I can do that here in BC, I'd like 4 into 1 exhaust for the sound and weight savings(750F weighs in at 550lbs wet) but I'm not sure I can do it as I have Collector plates on it. Which in turn means that a lot of mods are not allowed and the ones that are have to be period correct.
