Now I have to go and spend $50 for Nero 9 if I want a full featured burning and entertainment suite. All it needed was a patch, I got programs from Win 98 running on Vista with no problems for god's sake.

Plus I might need to pick up a new hard drive, I'd never thought I'd run out of space with a 250GB drive...

The only upside is I only paid $4 to fill up my tank so my bike is good for another 200 miles. 8)
250GB? I have 1.3 TB of hard drive space and its almost full.

Maybe it's best that I don't know what it is that you're downloading to fill up that much space...

I have an 80GB and a 40GB that both work as place to put backups on while the 250GB holds my games, some music and browser, OS but it holds mostly games.

I bit the bullet and bought a 500GB drive and still keep the others so I don't need to buy a single 1.5 TB drive just yet. Besides when something goes wrong with a drive that large it takes a long time to backup and reinstall Windows etc.

Another Saturday at home, this is starting to really screw me up and I'm afraid of going back to Central Park for a walk after what happened last time. Can't really go anywhere because you really need at least two people to go to places like bars and such so this will make it harder to meet new people. Lame. I love how people don't call back or tell you their with their friends.

I guess I'll do what I usually do on the weekend at night and go for a ride, as long as I don't hit ice. Maybe at 11.

I'm guessing it's the original WD Raptor drive huh? Time to move up to the Velociraptor 300GB so you can hold more stuff that benefits from that speed. I've never found a good reason to buy any 15,000 RPM drive until they have a method of saturating the SATA bus. Videocards on the other hand...

So... I was at work tonight. Pretty much a normal night. Kicked a few out for jumping the fence in.
Kicked one guy out for pushing his gf hard enough to make her land on top of a table. He tried to fight me but I'm literally twice his size, sober, and rather pissed off at him that he would treat a woman like that.
Then the end of the night came, went pretty uneventfully until I heard the shots.
So yeah, Wrider got to witness his first murder tonight. Sad part is how my mind works, I saw the flashes of the shots, I didn't see the shooter, but I calculated where the shots were going and what caliber was being shot (My best guess is .32 ACP for those concerned.)
I really truly hate gangbangers and gangbanger wannabes.
Not dislike, not distrust, hate.

cost too much and there are other things I want more (like paying off these damn credit cards). Speaking of credit cards they keep cancelling them. I mean I have NEVER been late on them but I keep getting notices "We have closed your account so you will no longer be able to use this card". WTF they are getting a 700 billion dollar bailout and wont let me keep a measley $500 credit card????

Glad it wasn't you.

Do they or you know the victim?
Did they catch the shooter?

Took my bikes out for a spin to see if I could still handle them with the reduced function I have in my right arm. 6 miles on one bike, 13 on the other. Turns out I can handle them OK, but it hurts. Glad they have rear brakes.

Will post more about this after I see the doctor on Tuesday.

Yeah they found the three guys...
http://www.kpho.com/news/18274978/detail.html#-
That's the story, but inaccurate. First off they didn't start to fight inside the bar.
Secondly we didn't kick them out, if we kicked someone out for fighting we kick everyone fighting out.
Sometimes I hate when cops and journalists don't report things right.
And yes I'm OK. I saw everything go on, I saw the shots, everything...
Crazy people...
