I passed some people like they were standing still. So in essance its not necesserily the speed at which you drive which causes you to go into ditch's but instead can you handle the speed to which you are driving...
black ice and you where running 75 mph!!!!!!!!!!!!!! do you have a death wish???????????????

He said he was running 5 mph slower than usual!!! Give the poor guy a break!
But no in all actuality I agree with Ofblong. I've done 75 on a road fraught with black ice before too, but I knew I had to steer, brake, and accelerate slowly. Yes I have lost control on black ice, only once was I not able to pull out of it, but I was also running really slow because there was literally an inch of ice on the road with a smooth top.

no its called I know my limits. "Hey look a car 1 mile up the road I better start slowing down BEFORE I get to it". Not that hard to figure out. Matter of fact i had someone in a 4 wheel drive truck pass me. Also instead of whipping over into the fast lane and back I drive SLOWLY over to the fast lane and back. its when people whip between lanes that they start going into spins.

Snow has finally started to melt in my neighborhood, took the bike out last week but needed help with getting back up the street due to all the ice, had to use the sidewalk......sometimes you gotta do watcha gotta do.
I follow a new highway I haven't traveled before.
