the bars are straight. Thing that kinda "pee"'s me off is they took the time to take all the spokes off the old rim and then put them on the new rim instead of having replaced the whole thing (spokes n all). It was dark so I couldnt tell if they cleaned up the deer guts or not.

I will be trying to start it later today now that the battery is fully charged. If it dont start after that im going to start screaming.

ninja I looked and it was just over 2 months that they had it. I turned the key and it "tried" to start but there just wasnt enough juice to turn it over. Took 3 hours to fully charge the battery so now its on the trickle charger.

Oh and the fuel was on when I went out there which tells me the fuel had been on for the full over 2 months they had it.

wtf I charged it completly and IT STILL WONT START. It almost does. I am thinking possibly oil because it almost starts but it just wont turn over. So I will be calling them to "dog" tomarrow.

Any chance of fouled spark plugs? Maybe the battery terminals are loose and a new battery is in order

battery was all of 8 months old when I took the bike in. Most cars will have a hard time starting from a battery sitting for 2 months connected (even a brand new one). I think its more the oil is keeping it from starting since I just now remembered putting 40w instead of 30w in and its like 5F out.

Either way I need to get it started so I can winterize it. I might check the plugs tomarrow if I have time.

well it may have been. I finally got it started. Got home tried to start it. Went inside got the kids ready for school and outside to wait for the bus. I went out and tried to start it. Still no go. So I snow blowed my driveway and shoveled the sidewalk/stairs to my house. Went over and IT STARTED though not the first not the second but the third try this time. I ran it till the gas ran out. Now I have to take the plugs out and put some oil in, lift it off the floor yet, cover it and seems like something else that is escaping me... (already put sea foam in the gas tank which is still full from when i rode it to the shop).

With that said I finally had some daylight to get a GOOD look at the bike. There is deer guts and hair PLASTERED on it still. its like baked onto the pipes and the pipes look HOORRREEENDDDOUS. So now I am just as po'd as I was before the bike wouldnt start. You know what that crap does to stuff when it sits on a bike for 2 months? I cant imagine what it smelled like in their shop with this thing rotting in their.

Sounds like something the bike shop should've taken care of before shipping it back to you. The shops around here make sure the bike starts before it gets back to you.

If it is a flooded engine a quick fix is to open the throttle all the way and push the starter, just don't do it at night or early morning.

I tried that trick the other day when it was about 4pm.

Update....

Honda finally called me back (took em long enough). They apologized for the deer guts not being cleaned up and told me when the weather gets nice bring it on down and they would detail it for me. SO thats a good thing

. He did apologize for the bike not starting up but at least I got it running.

good to hear, but damn how icy are those temps over there that the bike wouldn't even start?
