Please Help.....Roketa UTV

#1 Unread post by surveyor »

Hi, My name is Roy, and Iv'e made a really big mistake... Bought a Roketa UTV. All I want to do is get it runnning strong and trade it for a small boat.

Long story short, I got a deal on this and have had nothing but problems, it has run well though after I got it started and built a lever (reverse swing arm) for the gears, it has been a short lived fun. It never started up after sitting and I had to jumpstart and prime the cylinder with gas, then I had the brite idea of messing with the hoses, I reversed them and it started fine only smoked like I was using oil not gas. So then I put them back after weeks of trying the other way and it started great and ran great for about 2 minutes, then oil came out of the lower cylinder head and filled my breather up. I rebuilt the gaskets lower head and a few others just today. The piston, rings and etc look fine and no cracks in the cylinder. Also my cooling fans don't come on automaticaly anymore. What might I expect when I fire it up after the gaskets set...Does anyone want me to video it.
If anyone can help I'd sure appreciate it.

i'm really sorry man. but i'll try to help after i get rid of the headache from reading that post.

1. buy a manual. just add the price of the manual onto the selling price when u get rid of it.
2. i think the gasket set will take care of the oil problem as long as you cleaned everything out well when you changed the gaskets.
3. i'm not sure but i think it might have an oiler that is activated off of the same cable as the throttle. if that is the case, check it's adjustment.

i tried.
