I saw it too, it didn't look too bad in person. Looked almost like a sportier version of the ST1300. I didn't sit on it though - it just doesn't have any interest for me. Although it does have ABS.

My concern with bikes like the DN-01, Mana and to a smaller extent I think one of the supersport tourers (apparently, clutchless shifting) is that you might get used to this non-standard operation and be ruined for all the rest of the motorcycles out there.

Well. Aside from the 18 degree weather outside (YIKES!!), the show was good. Funny, but I remember when we attended our first NYC show - another SNOW weekend - and I was all starry eyed at the amazing bikes.

This year, we sat on a bunch, bypassed more. . .

Did anybody there on Saturday afternoon catch the guy in the "fawn" colored velour tracksuit??? He even had matching shoes!!! OMFG!!! Tried desperately to get a pic, but he wouldn't hold still and when he did, someone stepped in the way. Definitely the highlight of MY visit.

35-40 ish, black, combed back hair...

You should've sat on the DN-01 and Mana, both were extremely comfortable had a more natural seating position. It was also shorty friendly and a friend of mine who works for Aprilia did a test run on several new bikes which included the Mana and he said the ride is more refined than any automatics out there. Plus the different power modes are much broader in use than the Suzuki version. Rain mode actually prevents the rear tire from slipping but it's not quite traction control. Damn, I should've recorded my conversation with him.

As for the weird guy prancing around I didn't want to bother with taking a pic... I couldn't really take a pic of any presenters at the show because I feel so weird doing so, otherwise I would have pics of the booth babes as well... I was the only guy who avoided the show girls.

I hope I can learn to not choke when I go to Hot Import Nights this spring.

And unless they changed something the Mana has both automatic and manual modes I believe.

Clutchless manual mode, the guy spoke so much on the bike that I couldn't keep track of everything he said since he jumped on other bikes he tested out when someone else asked.

Aw clutchless? Yeah I guess it's like a paddle shift, probably just push a button for up and down.

I believe it has the foot shifter (i've forgotten already).
