Trust me Goosie, after six plus weeks, I am well acquainted with that "funky" smell.fireguzzi wrote:Then you get to deal with one weak arm that smells funny and looks smaller then the other. Pale too. Peeling skin. All kinds of good stuff like that. Dont try to use it too much at first either, it'll be sore. Did I mention the funky smell? What did you do today...

sigh it really sucks when you get a "used but free" vehicle. You goto remove a starter and 1 of the bolt heads is rounded off. now I have to get up there with my sawzall and cut the head of the bolt off so I can remove the starter then remove the threaded part of the bolt. Good thing bolts are a dime a dozen haha.

Was in the upper 30's and roads mostly clear, so I took all four bikes out for "exercise". Interesting contrasts when you ride them back-to-back... we've accumulated a "motley crew" of motorcycles here!

If you strip the nut you're in bad shape...ofblong wrote:sigh it really sucks when you get a "used but free" vehicle. I have these bolts that holds my sissy bar on the sides of the rear fender and I stripped their heads because 3 out of 4 were stuck and no amount of WD-40 or other lubricants could loosen them. Time to cut them off.
One thing you can count on: You push a man too far, and sooner or later he'll start pushing back.
