Opinions of product requested - bar end lights

So, I'm starting the search for accessories for my B-King, which I don't have yet and probably can't afford extra stuff anyway...

At the NYC Cycle show someone dropped a pamphlet for these bar end lights. There are other cheaper bar end lights out there, but these seemed to be of a much higher quality.

Seem like a good idea, bad idea? My wife thought that maybe they would be too bright in a position ahead of my view at night.

I can't say for sure, but I'd hate to purchase and install them and find that they can't be used at night.

It says "can be seen from almost all angles". Pure conjecture, but I'd think if that includes the rider, it would be distracting at night. The only light sources I'd want in my field of vision is the instruments and what the headlights illuminate in front of the bike. Just my 2 cents.

Hmm interesting. So something to block the light in the direction of the rider might be useful.

You need wire for power, brake light, turn signal, ground. What if you have/need bar end weights?
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

You can always tape up the part of the light that faces you if it gets distracting.

DId you check out the Hog City Lights at the cycle show? That's where I bought my Radiantz LED strips and 48 LED cluster. They are bright as hell and make perfect brake lights.

They also have several other lights.

Another place is www.customdynamics.com for bike lighting. As long as you don't go nuts your bike should handle a decent amount of LEDs.
One thing you can count on: You push a man too far, and sooner or later he'll start pushing back.

I didn't get the chance to check them out. I was surprised I got to see as much as I did.

They do have some interesting products. I was thinking that the signal lights look a little small on the B-king. Maybe supplemented with the license plate lights with the blinkers built in to it.

I had been thinking about something like that for the Ninja, but since I'm not going to be keeping it - I'm not going to go through the expense.

Good link. I'm checking it out now.
