Hello from Central NJ

To all,

After lurking on this site since around August of '07 and enjoying this site I decided to come clean and join.

I purchased a Honda 919 in October of '07, got my endorsement in November after taking the MSF at HD in Bergen county and now have around 2.6k miles on my bike. I am a weekend warrior and it is a playtoy not a commuter. I also belong to wristtwisters.com (a 919 centric site but friendly to all) and I have posted a review of my bike on power sports network. I also lurk on the meetup group CJMR.

I hope that I may add to the conversations here.

Hey! Central NJ eh?

Where are the good roads to ride there? I used to be up in Rockland and frequently road Bear Mountain but found myself meeting up with lots of people in Montvale and Paramus not to mention the occasional trip to Atco

Most of the areas you had mentioned are in north Jersey 65 miles or so from my house. I used to work in Paramus though on rt 17. I'd love to ride the roads on my moto up at bear mountain, that would be great. I rode some of them on my bicycle for a fund raiser once. Come to think of it I remember going 45 mph plus on my hardtail mountain bike down hill at bear mountain. Weeeee. (ran out of gearing!!)

The good roads? I don't know. I have been exploring the site "good motorcycle roads in NJ", "Highways and byways" and others to decide where I want to go. 524 is kind of cool and the surrounding farm roads in mill town. 571 south towards toms river is good in spots. 29 up the left coast of NJ was ok, scenic but slow. I continue to explore though.

I am about 9 or 10 miles east of Princeton. There is a pretty good brewpub there that makes their own beer (triumph brewery) that also makes a pretty good burger and fries....Thanks for the welcome..
