i was talking to the HD service people and they tell me that the clattering noise at slow speeds is normal in these trans in 6 gear under 75mpr anyone have the same noise?
Sixth gear on the new transmissions is pretty much useless at speeds below 100kmh, as the motor is revving too low. I find that for normal secondary highway cruising, fifth gear is best. For freeways and other high speed roads, I'll cruise in 6th if my speed is above 100kmh.
