Raceway soon to be demolished

So sometime in 2010 the raceway in the city i live in is being demolished as the lease is up and the city does not want to renew the deal. I'm not to fond of the idea of not having anywhere to practice or to let the bike loose legally. Lots of people used the track as a place to take whatever car they owned to the limits for fun, and to me it seems like without a place to do that, people will take to the streets. Thus what i am most concerned about in this whole thing is that more people will take to the streets to do the reckless driving and or racing, making it that much more dangerous to ride.

What have you guys noticed as far as street racing for people who have raceways available and those that do not. I mean is there more, less, or no difference at all?

To my knowledge there are no public raceways in the US. There are privately owned tracks where, for a fee, you can race.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Always wear a helmet, eye protection, and protective clothing. Never ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
