I believe Tech is living, eating and riding his lucky "O Ring" off in Italy.
You're free? Yeah, like we's soooo hard on yous guys.....
Luckily, this Romper Room generally behaves itself. Ever since I showed up on Verm(in's) doorstep and strangled him with his own intestines, most folks can be made to see the benefits of playing nice.
I have Progressive and I saw my insurance go down after a year of riding and then much more after 3.
Insurance companies dig up your past when you apply for insurance which is why they ask for social security number. Having good credit and a relatively clean driving/ riding record and owning a home will definitely help to lower your premiums.
After my ticket and points on my license the insurance still drop a bit considering I haven't gotten into any trouble for more than six months.
One thing you can count on: You push a man too far, and sooner or later he'll start pushing back.

HELP HELP, I'm being repressed!
So that explains what happened to Verm. And he wasn't that bad, just... Enthusiastic. And a little naive.
Well, I don't work for progressive, so some stuff is company specific, but I can answer most your questions. The rumor that your insurance goes down at 25 is mostly true except when you are married already. You're already getting rated as a "non-youthfull driver" basically being rated as being 25 and over if you are married before 25. so if you're married and turn 25 you will not see a difference. And you can't just wait to renew your policy until you turn 25 it would be set to renew on a certain date. Also having a lapse of insurance DOES work against you when you go to get insured. you can try and lie and say yes I have current insurance, but most likely the company will ask for proof. sorry but it doesnt matter if you didnt own a vehicle. you still will be penalized for having a lapes of insurance. And I guess having the combined limit of $500,000 would be best because the having a split limit, like 250/500 means, you are limited too $250,000 per person and a total limit of $500,000 per accident, where as if you have a the combined limit of $500,000, means you have just that limit straight across. so if one single person is hurt bad enough and has like, $450,000 in medical bills, it will all be covered under the limit of $500,000 for that one person. this has nothing to do with your poperty damage limit, it is just for bodily injury. the property damage limit can be as high as $100,000 completely separate from the bodily injury limit. you can go as high as 2 million for bodily injury limit with my company. not sure about progressive... I hope that helps
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

I hope you're still talking about insurance here, otherwise you're about to be laughed off this forum.
