This is my current bike. I haven't had a bike in lots of years, my last one was a CB650 back in the early to mid 80's. Glad to be riding again.

Looks good. Your tinypic isn't so tiny though. :) It skews the page. Can you resize the image next time? Thanks.

Having grown up on a farm, I've been riding otorcycles since I was 8 or 9. My first road bike was an early 80's model Yamaha 400 twin which I rode for 4 years. then my kids came along and bikes went away till 1998, when I aquired a rather tired Honda CB750-4, which I used for 4 summers when I could get t to run. I finaly retired it in the parts section of the local paper. After no bike again till April 30 2008 I purchased a brand new 2007 Honda Shadow VLX600 Deluxe, that with the windshield, saddle bags, and pinstripe kit ran me $5800 out the door. as of November 20th the odometer now reads 12500 miles plus a few. So it can be said that I LOVE Hondas' lil' Sportster clone.
I've spent the past few days removing half of the parts from the frame so I can paint the fins and other engine parts that aren't chromed Matt Black, because to me, a V-Twin engine just doesn't look right without black coling fins (even though it's liquid cooled, honda dressed the engine in fins for looks) After I'm done a good friend of mine, who just happens to be employed as a mechanic for the local Honda dealership, is going to soup up the engine way more than I did with straight pipes and rejet, so I can make a touring machine out of it for next summer. I welcome emails from anyone who wants to talk about bikes, or places to ride anytime.
I promise that after this introductory post, the rest wil be a lot shorter!!![/i][/b]
First of all......windbags are welcome. Just go read some blogs and you'll see.....

Secondly....:welcome2: to TMW.

Thirdly.......your bike looks fabulous. :)
thanks for the flowers....since that pic was taken I have made a few changes to the scooter. I removed the pillion seat, removed the stock air box so she can breath now, and removed the baffles from the pipes so she can breath out better. I also changed to Iridium plugs, and switched to
Mobile One V-Twin synthetic oil, and with her breathing better, I achieved
an additional 20MPH on my top end, went from 85 to over 100. It's not that I like to drive fast, my usual cruising speed is around 60-65, but now she can pass the Rocky Mtn Doubles we have on our roads here with no problems. I also painted my Engines fins black, click on the link to see some pics. Merry Christmas.

I'm a late baby boomer who rides both a GoldWing (2008) and a Yamaha 1700 Silverado Cruiser (2006). My wife rides with me about 10% of the time.

To make a living, I'm a corporate slave. I need to get out and start my own thing, but haven't figured out what I want to do when I grow up.

I enjoy the outdoors (when younger, I used to backpack in the Rockies).

My current pursuits are helping my Master Gardener wife with her landscaping and gardening. She says, "Dig the hole here." and I dig. That's the extent of my gardening expertise.

I belong to my church's motorcyle club; we have about 40 members and ride every month.
