Steel Suit From Dainese

#42 Unread post by wrecks »

Well I haven't updated in awhile. It's been raining for about two weeks straight now. We had a three day dry spell but I had to work so no riding for me those days. The only riding I've been doing is my XT225 in the rain. My helmet keeps fogging no matter what I do. I wonder if those breath guards are worth the money. Here's a link to what Im talking about.

On a cool note I just got my new leathers today! Yay!

Yay for new leathers!!!
As for the breath guards, they do actually work decently. My Scorpion Exo400 came with a removable one and it really does make a bit of difference in vs. out.

Sidi and Arai

#45 Unread post by wrecks »

I just checked with the Sidi distributer on size 42 of the Vortice in red. They wont be getting them till mid March. Weaksauce!!! The reasons Im leaning towards the Vortice.
1. The look.
2. It has the best support and armor vs. all other boots. In other words your feet/ankle is well protected.
3. Almost every part of the Sidi is replaceable even the sole.

Such a nice looking boot.

I also got a deal on an Arai XD3 helmet on sale with no tax and free shipping. I picked the Arai over the Shoei Hornet because.

1. The looks.
2. The visor is a bit longer on the Arai which I'd rather have than being more aerodynamic because I don't use my DRZ at those kinds of speeds anyway.
3. The inside liner is a lot more plush.
3. Arai makes more of an oval shaped lid which fits my head better rather than Shoei which makes a more rounder lid.

Jeez I think im just a gear mean! :P

Bad Weather

#46 Unread post by wrecks »

We're still getting rain and more rain in the forecast. Im tired of riding in the rain. Its gets old quick. Anyway, World Superbike has started at Phillip Island in Australia. There's a big get together at the Dainese store to watch the opening round of WSBK. WSBK is starting to win me over Moto GP. Some of the reasons are.

1. WSBK - These guys have to race two races rather than just one in Moto GP.
2. The moto's they use in WSBK are a lot closer to the bikes we can actually buy.
3. The starting grid is larger. More riders in WSBK.
4. Competition is fierce compared to the same 3 or 4 always winning in Moto GP.

Anyway, Here are some random pictures to pick up a rainy day here in SF.

Another Funny Picture

Knock off clothing usually spells the company names correctly. For example Fake Gucci or fake Chanel. Here is a picture of an old mans slipper knock offs that had me on the ground laughing. :laughing:

:laughing: Yeah they are

I guess they meant:
BNA = NBA
KNIE = Nike

Well at least they got the Nike Swosh going the correct way. :D

Communications!

#50 Unread post by wrecks »

Midland Radios

I got Reg and I some communications while we ride. A pair of Midland radios and a pair of Midland Helmet headsets. The radios have a lot of functions. More functions than we actually need and the head sets look well made. The only thing that might give us a problem is where to attach the radios while we ride. From the looks of it the radios should attach well on our belts. We still have yet to test them.
