Battery/charger question

#1 Unread post by Dunolde »

I removed the battery from my Kawasaki Vulcan last Oct and bought a Battery Tender Junior to charge it up every month. It has been kept inside the house through the Winter.
First time took about 2 hours, 2nd about 45 mins, last time about 20 mins. Today, it has been over 2 hours and the red indicator light indicates it is still charging. It's also bubbling inside, not furiously, but it hasn't happened before. Battery is cold to the touch. Anyone have any suggestions?
TIA

Before the above post I disconnected then reconnected everything, hoping there would be some change. Then after that post I went back and the green light was flashing, indicating all was as it should be, and the green light eventually stopped flashing, indicating a good charge. So I guess it was a loose connection but I've not seen the bubbling before. Hoping to reinstall the battery and get back out on the road before too long!
