Rare for it to snow mid-March in Canada? Where the heck do you live, BC? Oh yeah. Snow season doesn't end here in the Red River Valley until the end of June. Winnipeg is one darn cold place, and being just south of the 'Peg, we don't have it much better.

Speaking of being close to the 'Peg, and being assimilated...As far as some people in the States think, North Dakota is already part of Canada. I keep a stack of loonies and twonies on my dresser and always have at least $50CAN in my wallet. I even have a beaver that I put on my dashboard when I head across the border. As proud as I am of being an American, I'm proud of my Canadian herritage too.

My Grandpa says I bleed red because that's my Canadian showing through (he's from Canada), I think its because blood hemoglobin is red, but he insists that only Canadians bleed red, and true Canadians blood doesn't have a irony smell...it smells like maple syrup.

True Canadian blood also evaporates before it can be analysed.

All I'm saying is that North Dakota is almost part of Canada. I mean, Fargo is almost 200 miles from the border and we accept Canadian currency. I bet if Jay Leno did a "Streetwalking" segment and asked what country North Dakota is in, there would be a good sized group to say it is in Canada. I bet a bottle of Alberta Premium Rye on it.
