Nothing better then belonging to a close knit group of buddies that watch each others back. And then you have the nerve to go long distances together too  ! Its the best. Now its just me and momma(my wife of 27 years)

Solo or Group?

I prefer group. Starting out I've found a great mentor for riding, my sister-in-law's boyfriend. About twice a month, he rides from Maryland up to Delaware. Today we had a great 80-mile ride. He totally left the route up to me and we discussed riding and motorcycle accessories over lunch.

Maybe 90% of my riding is solo, the rest is with a small group of friends (4 to 6 max). I've ridden with large groups a few times, and didn't enjoy it at all; too much time spent waiting in petrol stations.

Small groups can be fun but I would much rather ride solo. For me that is quality alone time, something I often crave.

Looks like I've just become some kind of one percenter on this poll. Am I really the only person here who likes to ride in a large group?

I like to ride in a small group as well, and on my own. Each one is a different kind of riding experience. Perhaps I'm just greedy. I want them all.

I prefer a "group" of two - Mrs. Stark and I.

I like a small group and sometimes SOLO. but the last couple of years my friends have quit riding or ride so slowly I do not like riding with them anymore. So I am SOLO for now.
I have ridden in large groups, many times. not much fun. only time anymore I ride with my friends. Riding slow with lots of time to talk.

by the way I am 56. with many more miles of riding to go.

I'd rather ride solo, maybe a couple other bikes no groups.

I don't personally know anyone else that rides so right now I ride solo. I think I would like small groups though.
