Straight pipes: What problems can I expect?

Hi guys,
I have a 2004 Suzuki Marauder VZ1600. I bought a Shogun Exhaust Warlord Series Cannon Exhaust System (the standard lenght, not the shortys,nor the long ones) from Bike Bandit. The baffles are optional. I am wondering what problems may occur if I installed the exhaust system without the baffles. The bike has standard FI but a K&N air filter.
What would you suggest.

First off running straight pipes will lean the mixture out to the point where you could burn a hole in your piston. Then then cops will always be pulling you over and giving you tickets for not having mufflers on your bike. Then you have to think about your neighbors, after all they know where you live, and if they are like my neighbors, they might decide to take matters in their own hands. If you know what I mean.

Well first off it'd be LOUD AS "CRUMB"...
Secondly get the baffles. One it'll make it tolerable (not pleasurable, but tolerable) and two it'll actually allow your bike to make power instead of just sound.
Thirdly if you do get it, even with the FI I'd get a PCIII and put it on as well so that it won't run too lean.

Hi fellows,
Thanks a lot for the input. My main concern is the ¨hole in the piston¨, if I put the baffles inside the straight pipes without adding the PCIII for starters, would the same thing happen, I'm not too concerned with the neighbors for now since the closest one is about 5 miles away. I live in the country. Here is a picture of the baffles intended for Shogun Cannons:

The first thing I'd like to install is the pipes with the baffles.

still put a power commander (or other fuel management system e.g. cobra fi 3000, ect.) on when you install the new pipes. save yourself a lot of heartache down the road.

Besides the noise expect:

greater power at full throttle, great for flat out racing (this is why they are often called "drag pipes") BUT

less power at low and mid range due to decreased back pressure
(this is where you need this power)

Carb FI and/or ignition and computer (if your bike has one) may need adjustment and rejetting (some early Harleys need to either be converted to points or use an aftermarket ignition module like Crane)

It could void your warranty.

Some emission sensors will not work or even mount with straight pipes.

If on bike other than a HD it could decrease resale value.

possibility of bending a valve due to sucking cold air through exhaust
(this is why you see drag cars get tennis balls stuffed in pipes when motor turned off)
