My poor baby got a ticket!

My poor baby got a ticket! Riding to work this morning Steve was in front of a big rig and behind a cop. The cop slowed down to 40 mph on the freeway then pulled Steve over. He wrote my baby a ticket for following too close. He will be fighting this one. I believe Steve's words were "You put my life in danger pinning me in front of that big truck just to write me a ticket!"

Your baby rides a bike? That's impressive.

Yep, gotta love quotas and "suggested enforcement schedules" Around here we don't have quotas, just something along the lines of the latter... And if they don't meet the schedules they're put on a probation period and if they don't improve they're put on desk duty.
For a while here they were giving out tickets here for 1 mph over the limit, changing lanes without having your blinker on the entire time, stuff like that...
Good luck fighting the ticket!

Tell your baby we all feel for him. He didn't get any boo boo's did he?

I hate to hear stories like that about cops. Gives the good ones a bad name.

I actually had a park ranger driving toward me once who after he passed me make a very quick and wide u-turn and actually drove over part of the bike path almost hitting 4 or 5 bikers so he could come after me for no front license plate on my car.

No boo boos. The cop was a young guy. Hopefully he will grow up and become wise.

I got stuck in a speed trap basically. First ticket I had in 10 years, as soon as I saw the Teenager getting out of the cop car I knew I was in trouble :P
