What do you guys do?

#1 Unread post by 4afe »

Like most people I work, and my job requires me to wear an uniform. I would like to be able to wear full gear; boots,pants,jacket,gloves,... . So what do you guys do, to keep safe on the road and keep in dress code? I have to wear dockers(pants or shorts) and a polo.

Maybe try a 1 piece over your work clothes?

One option is the one piece over the uniform.

Another is to keep a set of clothes at work to change into - how often do your ride to work?

Some others just keep street shoes under their desk at work, since the riding boots would be the most uncomfortable part of the gear to wear all day.

Lots of options. You gotta be creative.

My riding gear goes right overtop of my work clothes, without any problem.

Overpants go over my work pants and my armored jacket easily accomodates whatever work shirt I might be wearing. Toss a pair of work shoes into your backpack/tankbag/saddlebag/tailpack and you're set.

I would like to start riding to work every day. For now Im still in school and a few days out of the week I have to go right from school to work so my back pack is already loaded. I think I will try to find a spot at work to store some shoes and wear an one piece over my clothes and then just change my shoes. Im not good enough to start riding to work any time soon  I was just thinking about it the other day.

Thanks

As with whytegryphon - I put my bike kit over my work clothes -
have come off on my way to to work (about 2 years ago, now) and realised the hard way it can happen at ANY time....
Don't give up.

Not now, not soon, not after being continually knocked down.

If you never give up, you can never truly fail.
