I rode a XL 1200C and a Dyna Low Rider. The Sporty was a torque machine and pretty quick. If I were to buy one, I'd have to change at least one thing before driving it away(other than the seat). The bars are drag bars which I could deal with but that combined with the pegs which are a bit further forward than those on my Shadow and the smaller hand grips made it all a bit awkward for the first half of the ride. The most powerful thing, other than my 750cc Shadow, I've ridden was a CBR600 in a parking lot - over a decade ago. I was pretty fun to twist the throttle a bit.
Even though the Dyna Low Ride has more than twice the displacement of my Shadow it felt every bit as silky smooth. Although, it was weird to be doing 50mph in 3rd gear and not having the engine screaming. I liked the way the Dyna handled and the power felt a lot more linear than the Sporty.
Of course, this sucks because I had the Sporty on my short list for my next bike. Now I have to add the Dyna Low Rider and a couple of it's siblings that cost a couple thousand US dollars more.
Next up, getting the stones to ride to the nearest Victory dealer to test ride a Vegas 8 ball.
