Wow - dude that sucks. I'm in NJ and got my waiver and got my license
as soon as I could get my butt to the DMV.

You could always say screw the waiver and rent a scooter and take the road test at your local DMV. If you pass the MSF course you should be able to do the DMV course easily.

I wouldn't recommend that for skipping the course, but if you've taken the course it should be no problem.

The second day is done and I had a blast. This is my first time riding any two wheeled vehicle besides bicycle. I loved it I rode on a suzuki GZ250 and it was cool. Only problem when doing some of the higher speed turns my heel kept hitting the ground. Also while I could do the weave fine, I found the offset weave a little more difficult until I knew just how far you can lean without any problems. Hopefully everything goes okay tomorrow. I'm still quite upset I have to wait weeks to get my license after that.

lemme guess.... You took the MSF course at Adirondack Community College???

The delay in getting the actual waiver is a bummer. It is supposed to be temporary.

Motorcycle Assoc of NY state used to 'administer' the program. Waiver would be mailed "withing 8 weeks". Usually took three, but that is three too long.

MANYS is gone. MSF is in (or is supposed to be). Contract between MSF and DMV is on the state comptrollers desk, where it has been for weeks and likely will continue to be. Once its okayed and signed, and we are actually under MSF control, the cards given at the conclusion of the class will be the waiver.

Do the course on a weekend, pass and get a card. Go to DMV on Monday and upgrade from a permit to a license :D
