Greetings from Thailand, "The Land of Smiles"

I just found this sight and looking forward to making friends and sharing info.

No, I am not Thai, I'm a retired American from Maryland. I live here because my wife "Toy" is a Thai, and an English school teacher.

We live in the Northeast part of Thailand, and about 150km from the Laos border. (Great duty free shopping there). Other than my marriage, I live here because it is very cheap...cheap...cheap. This makes my Social Security about 3 times the median income here. :D

Northern Thailand is a bikers paradise. Its loaded with mountains and turns that I used to travel hundreds of miles to ride back in the States. We have what is called "the Mae Hong Son" ride which is about 800km and all turns. It takes 2 days to make that run and you get a certificate for doing so.

I ride a 2003 Kawasaki 1500 Classic. A very comfortable large cruiser. So I would be especially interested in meeting others with the same type of bike.
