I'm a Cargile. Therefore I learned that, among many other lessons, the hard way. It's in our nature. :|

I'm not regressing. I am simply being drug, kicking and screamin, behind my income that is regressing.

At least I get to ride a motorized bicycle this weekend. My uncle is going to let me ride his RD tree fiddy to the mountains this weekend IF he gets his 74 Bonnie put back together.

I have day 2 under my belt. Today I had to give a 15 minute "lesson"....then be constructively critiqued.....it was a good day.
I didn't get lost today. I purchased a map and read it before going out.

I saved so much time. :)

Well, since the garden is finally, totally planted, I celebrated with a pleasant half-day ride. I swear I lost an entire hour on one cup of cafe au lait.

today i woke up at 5am then got ready and took in my grandma's minivan for a "quick oil change and inspection" at the dealership she bought it from. 4 hours, 4 new tires, an alignment, and an oil change later, we were shopping at Sam's Club and then stopped by the bank on our way back to her house. then stocked her refrigerator and headed back to Sam's Club with my truck to get a tire looked at because it has a slow leak. had to unload my ninja so they could look at the tire and then 1 hour and 1 new tire later reloaded the ninja and drove home from Goodyear to Tucson.

unloaded my truck and now i'm trying to unwind so i can get some sleep tonight. tomorrow's my last day of leave and i get to go into work to revise a couple performance reports, and need to pick up the motorcycle jacket i ordered, register the lojack on my ninja, and start my MSF course.

isn't time off work supposed to be relaxing?

I finished week one of the instructor course. I passed the theory portion. :)
Then after class three of us went riding and for a bite to eat.

It was a difficult, but good day, made even better by the camaraderie of my fellow students.

finished day 1 of my MSF Basic Rider's Course. was all classroom time but it actually went by pretty quickly. tomorrow morning we're out with the bikes bright and early 6:30 am to avoid as much of the heat as possible. should be a good time and i found out today they're using 500cc bikes for the cycle portion instead of the expected 250cc. might try out a vulcan for feel and see how i like it.

I bought another bike today.

After trying my damnedest to deal with the salesmen at Alberta Cycle on an 03 Z-1000 Kawasaki I finally gave up. They wanted $6000 for it and would not even consider anything less, so I will leave it sit on their showroom floor for someone with too much money decides he wants it. Too bad, it is a nice bike, and I would have over payed some for it, but not a grand+tax.... Blue Book in Canada on that bike is $5200 in mint condition, this bike is in good condition, but not mint. Plus it is fuel injected and still has a manual choke.... that just ain't right.

I did however find a nice 03 GSXR-750 the other day, and closed the deal tonight. It is in nice shape, but fell over on the right die at some point. There is a poorly repaired crack in the tail section that is no big deal to fix properly and a small dent in the tank that will be a pain to fix. Some light scuffing on the rightside fairing, but no damage to the structure. And it needs a rear tire. Other than that, the bike is nice and clean. The P.O. seems pretty fastidious about his stuff, and I don't think the bike has ever been ridden in the rain. Came with a service manual too.... perfect.

Now I have to call my insurance company tomorrow and get everything swapped over from the FJ and get it registered so I can ride it home on Sunday. Turns out the guy selling it lives about 4 blocks away from me, so that's pretty handy, eh?

Now.... anybody wanna buy an FJ-1200 that's old enough to vote?
No Witnesses.... :shifty:
