yeah, runs awesome. hoses, tires, everything still looks damn near brand new. been squeezing the hoses (sts) and they're all still firm but pliable (sts). i think he really did just have too many bikes, i counted 6 recognizable bikes in the back yard, plus about 8' x 8' section of the patio was just bike parts...plus the 4 in the garage and a couple more frames.

apparently the 4 in the garage are the ones he and his brother ride. the guy seemed to really know his stuff on motorcycles and has been performing routine and preventative maintenance on it so i think the low milage is fine, it was cared for even if it wasn't ridden all that much. i'll be sure to ride it more than he did.

Such interesting things I learn around here. A Suzuki Magna-killer from the mid-80's -- who knew?!! I'd never heard of it before today. Hydraulic lifters, hydraulic clutch, shaftie - sounds pretty advanced for 1985. Coming to motorcycling later in life (48 years old) I missed a lot of heritage I'm gradually learning about.

i'd guess more than a couple if you advertised in lumberjack country. let us know how it goes in the clubhouse.

oh, and i worked today then watched Transporter 3. movie was meh. they need to get more attractive women in the transporter movies. woulda still been meh, but at least it woulda been better to watch, which i think is the whole point to movies, right? the first was ok, the 2nd and 3rd...not so much. and the women in the latest 2 were annoying as all get out, to boot.

Went to pick up some stuff that I needed from an old ROTC instructor, 40 miles away. I was stood up. Figures.
Wasted a little under an 1/8th of a tank of gas getting over there. Start to leave, realize I have a flat tire.
Re-injured my knee yesterday.
Started to change tire and realized I couldn't finish, so put away my bruised ego and called roadside service (thank you, Ford).
Called my bank to "discuss" some mysterious fees that popped up, leaving me with $40 to last me two weeks. Hah. Right. Managed to get $35 taken off. So... $75 to last two weeks. Better than 40.
Went to the Dojo, hobbled around the mat, barked a couple of "tate!'s" and "keiko!'s" and silently whimpered to myself about sitting seiza for two hours.
Treated myself to a chocolate frosty from Wendy's on the way home, to find that our A/C doesn't work. Holy "crumb".

But that chocolate frosty sure was good.

And... hubby heard back from a local police dept - he made it to the 2nd phase of hiring. :-) Best part of the day.

No way I could ever join. I can't grow a chin patch, nevermind a beard. And you can't hang suspenders on a vertical piece of rope. :disgust:

Enjoyed a quiet day at work, had a few burritos, and played with the rotties.

Went through some old pictures on my computer and found a bunch from high school. Agh. Good day overall.
