Did you miss the part about not ripping on Japanese bikes though? The majority of riders here (including myself) ride Japanese bikes. Your comment is a little insulting to those of us who thought long and hard before we put down money on our "Japanese junk". The only lesson you learned is we are all stupid for buying crappy bikes? I don't think that is right.

I cannot believe it is the year 2005 and people still feel the need to crack on a particular product because of the location of the country in which the corporate headquarters reside. Get over it people - the world isn't so simple anymore. My mexican brother in-law builds Honda mini-vans in Lincoln Alabama. And I have plenty of other connections building Mercedes in Tuscaloosa Alabama. That German and Japanese money spends just fine when it's my nieces and nephews birthday. And I know there's nothing wrong with their cars or the American public ( or english or canadian or australian as the case may be) wouldn't buy them by the tens of thousands. Any company can make a lemon. Why people crack on japanese quality in particular just really bugs me - I have no allegiance to japan, never been there and I have no particular reason to defend them, but anyone who says they don't make a lot of very fine cars and motorcycles is not paying attention to reality. When you sell millions and millions of vehicles I imagine you crank out a bad one now and again. Then again you couldn't very well sell millions and millions of units year after year if they were a bunch of garbage. There's a lot of nice products made in the USA but something isn't nice simply by virtue of being assembled here.
