Hey All,
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Greg and I am a 47 year old man, married to a wonderful lady for almost 25 years! We have two boys (19 and 13) and live in North Carolina.
I'm considering taking the plunge and plan on signing up for a MSF course at a local community college this summer. Right now I'm thinking along the lines of a used 500 Ninja as a first bike, though that may well change after I take the course.
I just wanted to say "hi" and thanks to the folks who have posted such great information that I have read as a lurker! For the time being, at least, you'll most likely find me on the "New Biker" and "Safety" forums.
Well, that's it for now. Thanks again, folks!
not even a noobie yet ! ...

howdy. the 500cc ninja should be just fine. that's what i used in the basic rider's course and it was pretty easy to control once i got the hang of the throttle--it was kinda jerky at first because it was very sensitive, but was very smooth by the end of the course.
