There are times I wish my wife would go with me but she doesn't appreciate biking. Oh well, her loss.
I did have a chance to take my daughter on a 4 day camping trip on the bike and it was really good to re-connect with her.(she's a teen) No telephone, TV or distractions. We got a chance to talk, sightsee and have some memorable times. On our last day I pulled into a campsite that I made reservations for before the trip. There was a big sign saying "No Motorcycles" Well they let us in after a lot of discussion and then I was asked to leave after arguing with the owner (an a-hole) My daughter & I left and got another spot. We went out for dinner and she started to laugh realizing we got the boot from trailer trash. Something to remember and laugh about for years!
Sometimes a passenger is good.

When I was single I thought my bikes were always a great way to meet chicks. Seeing how they always wanted a ride. How can a chick pressed up hard against you with thier arms around you ever be a bad thing.
I do enjoy the chance to go scratching solo but I think 2 up can be just as fun.
I'm hoping to teach the wife to do some knee draging of her own though.

I solo. Been trying to get the wife on board for a while ... living in Italy she sees 2-5 people on a scoot every day, so she's getting more used to the idea of a '2-wheel family outing' and she's even starting to mention how she likes this or that scooter ....
Biggerst problem is I can't get her in to buy a helmet ... "We don't have enough money right now ..."
