I finally sold my Marauder. Been trying for several weeks and hadn't gotten any serious offers. Sold it for $1200, which I felt was kinda low, but it needs some carb work, new tires and it's got some cosmetic damage from not being garaged. What do you guys think? $1200 too cheap for a '99 in only fair condition?

Depends...how many miles were on it? Less than 10K, that's a pretty good deal. Over 30K, probably a fair price. How many cc's?

A drum rear brake and pretty archaic systems for today, I think you did real well. I guessing in today's market that you did really good for an 800cc motorcycle since there is a general dissapproval or disinterest in 700cc-800cc bikes. 650s or 900cc+ but the old standard size seems to be no longer acceptable. Also a lot of people are leary of older bikes for they wonder if they can get parts for tthem from the dealer. However, their loss for motorcycle dealers can get parts for at least 10 years.

Have you tried selling refigerators to Eskimos?
