Swapping my blown engine for a good one..2002 Meanstreak

I posted a earlier topic asking if the 2003 Vulcan 1500 engine was the same as my 2002 Meanstreak...of which they are...now heres my next question..
I got the used engine in that I won on ebay...only 2300 miles on it and reputable seller..so i feel comfortable its a good engine..
Since the block isnt open or anything I dont have to worry about the internals....
Can i basically take my old engine off the bike and drop this block on, attaching the carburetion, pipes etc and theres nothing i have to worry about like timing etc...
on a scale (1-10) of mechanics abilities I would consider myself a 6...
the operations seems pretty straight forward...but ive never gotten into the mechanics of a bike..
thanks for any help

Yeah, it should bolt right in, be warned you'll have a bit more power because of the different internals, but overall it should just bolt right in.
