Buzzz and Wrider, Ta-da!!!

Everybody who helped me get together the basket case '93 CB750 Nighthawk, THANK YOU!!!

:thankyousign: :thankyousign: :thankyousign: :thankyousign:

Here she is, the old girl up and running great!!! It idles fine, accelerates great, and shifts better than my own '92 just like it! There is NOTHING wrong with this bike, burns no oil and now it leaks none either. It's ready to go back on the road. It has a new paint job and I made a seat cover for it on my sewing machine, and the tank has been treated so it won't rust in the future. I'm pretty proud that I did it all myself (except the paint), albeit by asking questions the whole time. Couldn't have happened to a nicer bike!

It takes time to share knowledge, it is appreciated and in this case, was put to good use. Thanks again!

Congrats, Coffee! That was quite a project. It looks like a new bike now. That seat cover came out great too. I just had mine done by a local upholstery guy and I think yours looks better.

You are in an enviable position. I wish I had two Nighthawks in my garage. I've been wondering what I'm going to do when I finally wear mine out

I just don't have room to keep this machine...I have to sell it. Since I'll be up by Wrider this summer, I will gladly spot him a few beers and some wings...but I would for the rest of ya'll too!!! You know it!

My own much-loved Nighthawk is running strong with no need of a parts bike, and I really need the cash (hubby just finished school and times are a little tough). So this one is in the local ads and (shhh...don't tell) I'm riding it every few days. I'm amazed it runs so well, it really is just as good as my own bike.

I seriously considered riding it all winter and turning the odometer over to like 2k miles...but that would be dishonest!

Thing is, the odometer says 91k miles, but the motor is newer than that. So I won't get much for the bike because I can't prove it's young at heart, but I learned much more than the bike's price will ever bring, by rebuilding it.

The guy who gave it to me saw the pics today; he's not upset. He's just glad it didn't end up in the dump (I think his wife wanted it there, it was apart in his garage for almost two years).

Wow! That's an absolutely gorgeous one! Have you considered selling your Nighthawk and keeping this one now that it's got a fresh engine? I'm happy you got it done and together, and like the others said, it looks beautiful!

As for the beers, I don't drink, but I'll take ya up on a pop or two!

Well done!
