thanks for the url Wrider. i am going to look into getting a lock, and a cover. i live on a fourth floor so i wont want to run the cover back up to my place every time i get on the bike, i'll have to get a small one that i can fold up and put in the rear seat. :D thanks for the info on the alarms. i really wasnt thinking about doing that, but i dont think it would be a bad idea at all. and no, its not stunted out. it has been repainted, and i think its pretty slick. the design is by my brothers. he had it painted and i got it from him. he has changed the sprockets to make it more easy to wheelie, and put on an aftermarket swing arm. its a pretty comfortable and smooth looking bike in my opinion.

New Jersey really isn't that metro in alot of areas. In the northern portions of the state up near NYC it gets pretty urban. Trenton is nothing like NYC or Philadelphia. Few skyrises and lots of old manufacturing buildings. Trenton used to be nice back in the day but it's certainly not anymore.

As for riding, there are alot of options...take some backroads out to the shore, out to Pennsylvania, south to delaware and MD.

+1 on the alarm though. I will be installing an alarm shortly on the vrod.

This alarm has a perimeter sensor so any one staying close to your bike for more than a few seconds will trip the alarm, which apparently is extremely loud. Regardless, though, no matter what you do to protect it, if someone wants it bad enough they'll probably get it so just make sure you're fully insured. I heard of a guy around here that had his bike's wheels chained to cinderblocks, had an alarm, fork lock, disc lock. Went out one morning and everything was gone. They must have picked up the bike and the cinderblocks, loaded it into a truck and taken off.

thats just insane. i cant imagine waking up and seeing the bike gone. i feel for that guy. sounds like NJ is a pretty cool place to ride koji. my brother lives in north carolina and he and his wife are selling their bikes cause they just cant find anywhere to ride them. i am looking into the alarm idea now more heavily. i like your idea of having a perimeter alarm. does the alarm shut off eventually or would you have to turn it off

Based on what i have read, you have a remote that you carry around that arms and disarms the alarm when you are around the bike. If someone gets within the specified area, it chirps and if they don't get away the alarm goes off. If the bike is bumped, tilted or the ignition is turned, the alarm goes off...and apparently the alarm is "ear piercing." You can turn the alarm off whenever you want. If the alarm is tripped it'll stop and reset after 30 seconds.

As for NJ...i'd say i'm in a central location with nice riding areas nearby. I'm sure CO has ridiculously beautiful scenery so barring the increased level of snow in the winter, i'd say you're probably better off than us NJ folk.

You'll be surprised in Boulder with the snow I think. If you can ride in the cold, and I mean that relatively midly as in 20 degrees, you'll be able to ride most of the winter.

So you said you're getting your residency, that mean we've now got a doc-in-training on the board? If so I've got this rash... :laughing: Just kidding.

hahaha, i'll have to recommend you have a doctor look at that rider. no im not a medical resident, i mean simply a resident of colorado. :) thanks for the info on the alarm again. i will certainly look for it. hey check out my new pics of the bike, tell me what you think rider

Man that thing is clean! Very nice looking ride there.
Looks much more like an RR with that paint too. Takes someone who knows the body styles and that other than 03 the RRs come with inverted forks.
Looks great though, I'm jealous! :laughing:
Now since I've given you that info and you're taking it, I know just what I need to do to get it... Bwahahahaha :twisted:

yeahhhh go ahead and steal it...i wont mind at all. im an absolute idiot, i only realized i wrote f4i on the pictures when you mentioned it. it is NOT an f4i. the bike is a 600 rr. i have no idea why i wrote that, i must have been drunk :D

Lol I wouldn't steal it... And I thought the conventionals only came on 03 RRs?

EDIT: Nope just looked it up... I guess 05 is the first year of that. Huh, learn something new everyday!
