I am looking to buy a 2007 Yamaha FZ1. Can I convert the exhaust to use a can on each side of the bike for a moe balanced look when viewed from behind. The only thing I don't like about the bike is the 4 into 2 into 1 exhaust. Can it be changed ?

Thanks,
My first time posting to the forum.

With enough work/patience/money, I would think anything can be done. Knew a guy with an older VFR who changed it from a single can on the side to have a dual undertail exhaust like the new generation.

Is it possible? Like Pacificshot said, yes...
Are there any replacement systems out there that do it? Not to my knowledge.

saw one on ebay that someone had done that to. it was about a month ago. you might be able to find it in completed listings and ask them some questions. it looked a lot better IMO.

trick would be finding a dual exhaust for that bike that doesn't hurt the performance or sound like total crap.

That bike was designed to run a single exhaust
