Which part of the UK did you visit, there is nothing over here that compares to what you have,
I did the south end of England with the family in a rental car  I found that there was so much man-made beauty in this area that it blew my mind. Things that didn't get mentioned in the tour-books over there would have certainly been a national treasure over here. Narrow back-roads such as the ones in Mikes blog (viewtopic.php?t=32943) with overhanging trees and rock walls are something else that we do not have over here. Castles in everyones back yard, history, Brighton.....; it was all awesome.

And wow(!) do you ever get through the bikes

We have only just got back from Brighton ourselves, weather was not to good but did have a few dry days, did you get to visit The Lanes Armoury?, they had old weapons for sale from all over the world in there, but very expensive, and the beach at Brighton is a bit hard on the feet, it needs some sand.
I guess its a case of the grass is always greener over the other side, those narrow roads soon gets blocked up with traffic in the summer, and those overhanging trees dump loads of water over you in the wet, and the olde castle's get very cold in the Winter.
I have spent so much money on buying new bikes every year, not many years ago, I bought three in one year, I bought a new V Max in Feb, then in June they brought out the Busa, so had to have that, but after a few hundred miles, I realised it was not the bike for me,it gave me a pain between the shoulder blades, and gave me pins and needles in my fingers, so in Sept bought a Honda Blackbird, a nice bike, it did everything right, but was so boring to ride, so the next year went and bought another V Max, and this year was going to buy the new V Max, but was far to expensive, and that was when I got the chance to ride the demo B King, I knew right away it was the bike for me, it looks a big lump, and being only 5ft 6in I felt a bit intimidated, but once on the move its so easy to ride, there is no other bike out there at the moment that compares, and it would have to be a very special bike in the future to make me give up the B King, anyway I have gone off track a bit, so if anytime in the future you want to swap places, I would love to be out your way, and do the rides you do.

PS meant to ask if you have any Vids of your trips.

Here is a vid of the transformer bike that looks damned close to the b-king

If I can keep my bike, I'll end up painting it to look like this.

I think that the B- king IS Batman's bike! that is one hot looking ride! :)
still recovering - back to crutches, then walking with a stick, then running - then hopefully riding again!

Decisions, decisions... Oh, yeah, made easier by not having any money! So, the bike will stay the way it is in to the foreseeable future.

Not exactly a horrible thing.

A few people have asked me how I got the Transformer look to my headlight, its just the standard lens protector for the B King, I bought it from Powerbronze, they make them for any model of bike, you can get them tinted in many colours, my one is the solid black one,so it dont let any light through, it only takes seconds to put on and take off, if you want a better view of it, and have not seen the video of my bike, click on below.
