Thats the code the bike is throwing at me. I have an intermittant sputter and cough when the engine is under load. No symptoms when in neutral.

As I know absolutely JackS___ about fuel injection...any easy fixes out there..or am I paying a tech for this one?

That's the one big drawback to EFI... when something goes, you can't fix it with electrical tape and baling wire. You'll need to take it to the shop.

No doubt gummie... right now I would kill for an adjustment screw, a petcock that might be stuck and at worst case scenario a rebuild kit and an afternoon at the kitchen table. As it stands... well you just said it.

Is the current manual no help? The code indicates a problem with the rear injector.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

maybe check the fuel filter, it may be clogged.

i had a similar sort of error on my diesel truck on a trip over the winter and it turned out to be a clogged filter causing low fuel pressure when the engine started needing more fuel, namely accelerating to freeway speeds so the 18-wheeler didn't run my slow "O Ring" over.

worth checking a $5 part instead of paying them to check it, at least.

Thats a happy thought even if getting to the fuel filter is super annoying...and it is.

no, between a sudden rush of OT at job a and an equally sudden rush of business with the printing co, I havent had time to tinker or take it in. Its like the world is determined to keep me in a truck now that a nice dry 90 degree Aug has set upon me.

Will get fixed and updated soon...or tie a personal noose one.

Update.

Phil (Marcum of Marcum Racing) wont get to it til late monday or early tues...but after describing the symptoms he says it sounds like the wire is broken/stretched at the rear injector...apparantly Harley was saving on a millimeter of wire for a couple of years on Road Kings... said he has seen more than a couple do it...fingers crossed cuz thats like an hours labor and some solder.
