(Just to recount the original issue) It was a few weeks ago when I started my bike and shut it down, I heard liquid pouring and noticed oil flowing out all over the ground. It was dark and I could not pinpoint the source. Alright, it took 2 weeks plus but the Haynes manual finally came in the mail yesterday. I put a small amount of oil in and let the bike run for a few minutes and shut it down. No oil leaked out, so I drained the final drive oil, and filled it back up with SAE 80 hypoid shaft oil. Judging by the amount that came out, I don't believe that was the problem. It was fairly clean too. I then drained all of the engine oil and a ton of it came out. I was surprised there was so much considering how much drained out when my issue occurred. I changed the oil filter and put a liter back in. That's all I had left, so I will get a couple more tomorrow. The manual calls for 2.8 liters. I have no idea what happened. All I can think of, is that there was too much oil. Is there some sort of overflow? Does anyone know what might be wrong?
Thanks,
Nozzlegoblin

I must have overlooked Wrider's reply. If that's the case, would a whole bunch flow out at once?
