ive been dealing with this issue for awhile...i smoke a lot of weed. i have been curbing my appetite for it for a couple reasons.

1. my job is cushy and has no drug tests but i dont want to sell mattress's for the rest of my life. i deserve more and so does my wife and kid. so i have to pass a drug test to get started in my chosen field(welding and metal fabrication)

2. i no longer make enough to suppport my habit.

3. im tired of being mentally challenged all the time.

4. and its becoming a chore to even find any worth smoking.

5. i want a sweeter motorcycle...so i quit so i can save for that too.

damn getting old and responsible.
Well, it sounds like you've made up your mind to quit and have some good reasons for doing so. Good luck. I've been pretty fortunate - I feel like I have an addictive personality but have somehow avoided being destroyed by drugs and alcohol. Like I said earlier, I just sort of stopped drinking without ever making a conscious effort to do so. I still smoke weed, but I routinely go weeks without doing so. I frequently turn it down when offered simply because I don't feel like it at the time. And a couple of years ago my wife and I tracked how much we bought all year... and it came to about $250US so I don't feel like it's impacting me negatively in the financial sense. Since I still enjoy it sometimes and it isn't hampering me in the ways I mentioned I see no real concrete reasons to quit altogether. It's like anything else... some folks handle it better than others just like alcohol.

In BC, it's probably the biggest cash crop being grown, and only the criminals profit from it. I mention quality control, but if you know anything about BC bud... Quality isn't an issue...lol. (Apparently, BC bud wins at Amsterdam's contests for best bud quite frequently...

I personally have no experience with the stuff

bc used to be the best we could get now its the standard... but im all for govt sanctioned herbals. it will get rid of the shady "O Ring" drug dealers too. and everything will way what it supposed too...it would be great.

I agree with Aggroton. There was a time in my early twenties when I thought LSD was fun, but even then it went on longer than I wanted it to but couldn't make it stop. No fun. All told I maybe did it five times, once out of curiosity and the other four because 'my friends were doing it.' Now it's twenty years later and I have absolutely no interest in hallucinegens at all. If someone dosed me with acid right now I think I'd go check into the hospital, tell them what happened and beg them to put me to sleep for 24 hours. I don't recommend it but I know that sounds hypocritical from a guy who did it himself. Anyway, I'm not preaching, just relating a story from someone who's been there. If you must do it, be very careful and at least be around some folks you can truct to be responsible. If things do get out of hand, and there's no reason they should, you don't need to be around a bunch of idiots. There ought to be someone nearby who's responsible enough to get help if something crazy happens. that said, I don't think you'll miss anything at all if you skip the experience entirely. Eek, I sound like a parent

Shrooms was the only thing I would try anyways. Chemicals kinda have an eerie vibe and I'm not sure I could be comfortable with it.

I do think I'll grow out of wanting to do it when I start building up serious responsibility. It's that whole maturity thing. :?
I have no bike. :(
I do have a nice guitar, though. :D

Peanut Butter sounds good, 'caus they taste nasty - it's like eating dust. And drink lots of water.
