CB360T Vacuum Pistons

#1 Unread post by mopedgeek »

Hey everyone!

I'm new to these forums so please don't be too harsh on me.

I'm the proud owner of a 1972 CB350. The bike was in running condition when I bought it and I haven't had to do more than replace some dry rotted tires. That is my only real motorcycle.

I've been fiddling around with vintage mopeds from the 70's for quite a while. I've rebuilt engines and started some really advanced tuning about 3 years ago. The only problem is that all of these mopeds are relatively simple two stroke engines. They aren't too difficult to repair.

Recently, I've been looking to either sell these bikes to get another real motorcycle or trade them for one. I came across a CB360T that the owner was willing to trade for two of my tuned mopeds.

I'm trying to decide how much I really want the bike. Its complete with everything except the vacuum pistons in the carbs (which I was told were rotted so he removed them).

I found the parts on Bike Bandit for about $175 before shipping. I'm starting to think that this might be a stupid decision to trade two running bikes for a non running bike in need of parts.

Does anyone know where else I could go to find vacuum pistons for these carbs for a little cheaper than bikebandit?

The bike is a 1975 CB360T.

I appreciate your help.
Eric

Try getting a whole set of carbs of of ebay...should run you anywhere between $30 and $50. Much cheaper than getting just the vac pistons.
