#1 Post by emosness » Mon Sep 21, 2009 3:40 pm

I recently purchaced a 2006 Dyna Street Bob. It has a secuity FOB with one button in the middle. When I press it twice the lights flash. I have no other information on this. Can someone explain the operation of the secuity system? I know in 2007 they went ot a buttonless. I have the 2006 version. Plus there is a code I believe enter through the turn signal buttons?

Regards,

Moose

To arm the system, push and hold the button down until the signal lights flash twice to confirm. To disarm, press the button twice within a 1.5 second time frame and the signal lights will flash once to confirm.

You need to know the code that was programmed into the system before you can disarm it using the turn signal switches, and only then when the key is in the ignition and turned over to the "ACC" position. If you know which dealer the bike was originally purchased from you can contact them and ask what their default security code is. They're not likely to give it to you, though, as they normally use the same code on all their bikes and rely on the customer to enter their own unique code after taking delivery.
