Huh?

I don't get it. Why is Mike a schmuck for doing his job? And doing it alot more diplomatically than I would have. He's right, a first post linking to another site does smell suspiciously like a pork-like food product. At least he was nice enough to leave it up and just question the O.P. As a Certified Dickwad, I would have probably deleted it outright. Mike is more fair than that.

Do you know how much spam this site gets that you guys never see because Mike or another Mod gets it first? No you don't, because that's what we do.
This is probably the medicated BuzZz because there's no way regular BuzZz would sound this calm...

Not nearly medicated enough.....

I can only do 3, maybe 4 (depends on who you're asking) things in this world really well. At the top of that list is sleeping. I am a sleeping machine, Baby... anytime, anywhere, anyhow. But not last night. This is me running on 45 min. of really bad ZZZ's.

I think tomorrow I'll take the Doc up on his opiate offer. I generally prefer herbal over rx, but I'm getting desperate here.... and it seems the kinder, gentler me ain't as much fun as the angrier, dickwad-ier me.

I know I sure don't like this version much.....

Come to think of it, I don't much care for the other version either....

Dam, that's pretty depressing.... :?

No Witnesses.... :shifty:

Before you start judging people based on a few forum posts get to know them a bit. Mike and I tend to butt heads when it comes to HDs but he's got WWWAAAYYY more experience than I do and I respect him immensely.

geezuz christ dood, I see the circle of love is not welcoming new peeps anymore :D

Wrider if you were wound any tighter mate your nutz would get stuck in ya throat ;)

Im sure Gummi is big enough and tuff enough to look after himself.

My point exactly. New guy gets questioned for providing a link? Maybe it was spam, quite possible especially since he didn't provide a location, I don't know but I liked the site.

Mike my utmost apologies for calling you an idiot.....way to harsh and terribly wrong on my part. I wasn't drinking (nice one by the way), it just rubbed me the wrong way. My bad, please forgive.

And to all you ladies for defending Gummi, Way to Go. I wish I had each of you in my cell right now!

You need to see the same post from a Moderator's point of view. We get so many attempts every single day from spammers trying to gain access to this site that we have learned to spot the usual signs of one that has managed to slip through the net. And one of those usual signs are the linking to another website in the very first post. Hence, my suspicions. Normally, we move the obvious spam threads to a private forum where the Administrator has the final say on whether or not it is legit. But sometimes we're not sure, so we either PM the poster or answer the post and ask for clarification.

In this case, the site seemed legit enough but the question remained if it was an attempt to gain revenue by directing forum members to the linked site. Commercial advertising, in other words, which is a big no-no here at TMW without prior approval. So I decided to offer the poster an opportunity to expand on their reasons for making their very first post on this site one that links to another site.

And Teebird31, your apology is accepted. Thank you for having the courtesy and cajones to offer it.

Sadly, minus the being in pain, I don't really care for the various version of me either. :( It seems I'm the worst to the people I like the most. I'll have to get a tombstone that says a s s h o l e.

What can you do? Even when I try to be good I make things worse.

Well since they corrected the spelling right after I made that post, it may be safe to say that the OP probably is the owner of that site?

Man, I'm sooo glad to see that I'm not the only that feels this way about myself. Funny thing is, people tell me I'm one of the nicest people they know. Lets try to go a little easier on ourselves, eh guys? Everyone makes mistakes.

Wish I could make myself take my own advice, most times I feel like I don't even deserve to ride, even though that is one of the only things that makes me feel better. Winter is coming though, wah!
