+1 I forgot about the bug issue. I had a nice, fat, bloody one hit my windshield the other day and thought if that had hit my face without my shield on it would have been a mess.RockBottom wrote:Statistically, 30% of motorcycle head injuries are to the jaw area so if you're not wearing a full face, you're at 70% of protection.
When I think of how often I have to stop and clean bugs off of my face shield, I know that I really don't want them hitting my face or mouth.
I've been hit so hard by a bug in the throat while driving my Honda Civic in Florida ages ago. Man that hurt. So, far mostly small bugs and I think maybe crickets on my motorcycle.havegunjoe wrote:+1 I forgot about the bug issue. I got hit dead center of the shield by a locust a few weeks ago. I thought it was rock it hit me so hard! I was VERY glad of a full face at that point.RhadamYgg wrote:I've been hit so hard by a bug in the throat while driving my Honda Civic in Florida ages ago. Man that hurt.
