Help!!!!!

#1 Unread post by thatokra25 »

Ok, i own a 2007 Ninja 250 and was riding it down a friend of mines driveway two nights ago. a HUMONGOUS spider dropped down in front of me and right into my awaiting open visor  . I got the bike stopped but it hit a large hole in the driveway tipping it over onto its left side. I still can not get the bike to crank and continue running. It will fire up and run, the throttle works and then it just stops. I need help... this is my only mode of transportation. I guess i just need some suggestions of what to try before i have to shell out a ton of money. There is No damage to the bike, it fell over on a freshly box bladed driveway, not concrete or asphalt and i was stationary :frusty: . Thanks for your help, and sorry you had to read all of that, i figured if you knew the whole story it might help

Chris

Take it to the shop.

By the way...a spider is a very acceptable reason for dropping a bike.

Im betting when you dropped it over, the carbs flooded and fouled out your spark plugs. I'd try replacing those first.

Ok, i have left it sitting up for these past two days with the occasional shot at starting it. so would the carb still be flooded?

ok i took the plug out of the right side and tried cranking it looking for spark and see none. could that be due to the low battery on the bike?

Is the tip of the plug black? If so it's fouled out... and that would cause no spark. Replace it. I can almost guarantee it's what is causing your problems.

If the motor is cranking over you have battery.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Yes, but might not have enough battery. The F650 is famous for doing all kinds weird things if the battery is too low.

But I'm not a bike mechanic, so ask someone who knows more about your model maybe?
