Car backs into bike - need alarm system

Hello everyone. This is my first post with TMF and first off, I would like to say what a wealth of information one can find on here, seems like a very informative community.

Secondly, I just bought a new R1 Yamaha and would like to get some opinions on alarm systems. I am currently looking at the Scorpio Alarm system from Scorpio Motorcycle Alarm and would like to know if anyone has experience with this product? It seems to be somewhat easier on the wallet, however if someone can recommend an Alarm system for my ricer, that would be great.

Also another quick question, is a perimeter Alarm system worth what could seem like aggravation by possibly setting the alarm system off unnecessarily?

The bike is garage kept while at home, however it has to sit outside all day at my place of employment and since its an industrial area, I decided to purchase an alarm system for it after someone backed there car into it...

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Nice bike man, you rockin the 09? With the crossplane crankshaft?
As for alarms, no matter what you get, you definitely should get LoJack... It's helped a few different people I know of recover bikes. As far as alarms, have them CUSTOM installed with whatever you do get. If you get them in the normal places an experienced thief would leave your alarm sitting where your bike used to be. As for the perimeter alarm, I wouldn't do it merely because a lot of people will set if off just walking by it. Get one that takes a few degrees of movement to set off the alarm or else the wind will set if off.

If you're really concerned, put in a hidden ignition switch somewhere no one would expect.

Oh, and the usual name we tend to use is TMW, total motorcycle world. But it's ok, I knew what you were saying!

If I want your bike bad enough I'm taking it, alarmed or not. What do people do when they hear a car alarm going off? Ignore it because 99% of the time someone bumped it by mistake or some bonehead hit the panic button. The best alarm you can buy IMO is comprehensive insurance. I would only put LoJack on a newer expensive bike like yours.

what others said about low jack i agree with. Like the above poster said there's nothing you can do to stop a determined thief. If you park in an industrial place a bike cover will help. What a thief doesn't see they wont take. just make sure your cover and lock down.
