None of those DS 2valve air cooled engines have any Horsepower. My CBR600RR is quicker than my Hyper 1100. The forte of the 1100 engine is it's torque and the instant thrust which makes it so much fun. I don't see much point in a 796 Hyper as although it doesn't give up much HP to the 1100(there isn't much to begin with) but gives up a lot of torque, which is the main attraction of the DS 2valve air cooled mill.

I am sure your CBR is quicker. My Bandit was certainly quicker than my 696. Next time I won't pay as much attention to specs on paper!

Yes, I don't see much point in the 796 Hyper either, although I am sure it will sell well.

Judging by the preview, it looks better than the current Multi.

Idk....I find that snout to be pretty ugly, but that is just a teaser promo...

I have to eat crow on this one. The new 1200 site shows it off and it looks good, IMO. I'm still not in love with that snout, but it's not nearly as annoying as the teaser made it seem.

Looks like the result of a midnight rendezvous between a Ducati Hypermotard and a BMW R1200GS.

I hate the old 'Strada frontend more than any other bike I've ever seen. Looks like it should be on an atv or jetski to me.

This one is much better, but it looks too much like a gundam for my taste (Lord help me, I watched way too much anime this month  )

That or a bird.... can't decide which one it reminds me of more....

I would consider buying one of these, though. Never would have considered one of the old style bikes, even if the rest of the bike is almost exactly what I want in a bike.

The numbers on the new bike look good too. 417* lbs. isn't bad for this type of bike...(*ahem...* this probably really means 460 rolling out of your driveway)
And 150* HP is always a nice round, fat and pleasing number to stick on any bike. (*ahem...* this probably means 135 on the ground.... still not bad)
No Witnesses.... :shifty:

Yeah I think the 1200 is a big aesthetic improvement. Any news on MSRP?
