Actually I watched them do the service. They drained the oil for about an hour then buttoned it back up. Refilled the oil, look at info from the ECM, and a finger check of fasteners. A test ride and some interaction with the customer (ME) and another fine job by the service dept.

Today the service guy had to hook up a computer to access the codes. Apparently the fuel pump's lower sensor has gone bad. The gas gauge won't work right until repaired. The part is on back order, but I can ride the bike anyway.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

And that's something I've noticed about every Harley/Buell dealer I've had my bikes serviced at... I can always watch them at the task, usually while sipping free coffee in an air conditioned atmosphere.

Yep...there's plate glass windows overlooking the service area. Gail's has a coffee/cappuccino/latte machine, two big screens, computers, and a pool table in the waiting room.

You mean like old school, Mom & Pop, grease stains on the floor kinda place? Hang out there as much as you can - that type of shop is pretty much all gone now.
